In Dev.
Features marked with the "In Dev" tag are still being worked on or tested and are not yet available for general use. This tag lets users know that the feature is still in development and not ready for public release.
Installation
This term describes the installation options available depending on your current theme. The "Auto" and “Manual” options are available only in Vintage themes. The "Manual" widget can be set up through the code editor. For further information, please refer to our help article on Setting up Upsell & Cross-Sell product blocks.
Unique Key
The Upsell & Cross-Sell app has "unique keys" that help it work on a website. These keys are like special codes that give access to the app's features. The app creates these special codes for each widget. This makes sure the app works correctly. Unique keys are available only in OS 2.0 themes. For further information, please refer to our help article on Setting up the Upsell & Cross-Sell app in Online Store 2.0.
CSS
To make the Upsell & Cross-Sell feature look how you want it to on your website, use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). CSS lets you change how the feature looks on your website by changing its design and layout. This way, you can make it fit with the rest of your site. If you need help with this, our help article provides more information.
Sale Badge
This label, also known as a badge, can be added to the product to highlight discounts or promotions. It's usually referred to as "On Sale." This only works if comparative prices have been set up for the product. Please refer to the Shopify help article to set up sale prices.
Sold Out Badge
You can add the label or badge to an item to show that it is unavailable or available for pre-order. It's usually referred to as "Sold Out" or "Pre-Order." To use this badge, you need to have no items left in stock and check the "continue selling when out of stock" checkbox. Check out the Shopify help article for more information on how to sell products that are out of stock.
Custom Badge
This label, or badge, tells customers important things about a product, like if it's on sale, new, or popular. Choose a collection so that the custom badge will be displayed on the products from this collection in the Upsell & Cross-Sell widget. Customize badges according to your needs.
In Stock Badge
The label, or badge, is added to the product to show customers which items they can buy right now and get shipped or picked up. This helps them find what they need faster. Remember that the badge on items in stock will be displayed if the product inventory level is greater than 0. Read this Shopify help article to learn how to set up inventory.
Secondary Goal
This means getting customers to add more things to their cart to qualify for a special discount or deal.
Auto Open
The Auto Open Trigger automatically displays a pop-up to the customer after a specified time, which is set on the Display Rules settings tab.
Exit Intent
The Exit Intent Trigger displays the pop-up to the customer just before they leave the page. On desktop devices, the pop-up appears when the mouse cursor quickly moves to the exit of the window. On mobile devices, the pop-up appears when the visitor scrolls up the page.
Targeting
Targeting means using a person's IP address to find the user's location and limiting the content they see based on that location. This helps ensure that people only see things that are important to them.
